Caring for an end grain board
Wood is a natural, living material, which is why you need to take care of it : avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heat, as well as sudden changes in temperature and humidity.
Advice
TO WASH YOUR BOARDS
Cleaning only requires hot soapy water and a sponge (non-abrasive side). Avoid soaking the wood entirely in water and never put it in a dishwasher . After cleaning the surface, wipe the board with a clean cloth and let it dry upright on the long side.
TO MAINTAIN YOUR BOARDS
We recommend that you apply our WOOD BALM before first use.
Apply a small amount of balm using a lint-free cotton cloth in a circular motion. Wait between 15 min and 30 min. Remove the excess with another cloth.
Your board is ready for use.
This operation should be repeated as soon as your board seems dull or dry. The wax coating hydrates and prevents water from entering the wood while effectively healing cut marks and scratches, bringing shine and shine to your cutting board.
